Mercury Theatre Orchestra Mercury Theatre Orchestra was an Intermission-based audio-visual performance ensemble, in league with VIVO and the immense ingenuity of IM's Marianne Bos, a cast of dozens collaborated to generate an annual outdoor audio-visual spectacle at Cathedral Park in downtown Vancouver [at Dunsmuir and Richards, a hydro cooling station with a pond, grassy knoll, and stage], as part of Vancouver's annual Swarm gallery crawl of downtown artists-run-centers. Players in the orchestra's four years of performances variably included: Marianne Bos, Khan Lee, Brady Marks, Steve Calvert, Michael Red, Tanya Pea, George Macdonald, Steve Wood, Shane Baron, Mikela Jay, Igor Santizo, Rod Navarro, Ursula Andrade, Angelo Moroni, Jaipreet Singh, Bradley, Matt ODonnell, Wade Thomas, Peter Schuyff, Charlie Roberts, Jenny Rose, Kaz Kylheku ... Many thanks to everyone else who made these events happen - ultramegafriend VIVO directors Jen Weih, Dinka Pignon, Velveeta Krisp. Big love to Intermission Video: Natalie Purschwitz, Julie Gendron, Derek Brunen, Miriam Needoba - and all who attended, participated, and contributed submissions and equipment, and espeically all the Video In volunteers. You know who you are. It was awesome. A potential exists to provide video composites of these events. We shall see...
